Chasity Wells-Armstrong
Calumet District Chair
Chasity Wells-Armstrong (MSW, CADC) will be serving her second term on the NASW Illinois Chapter Board of Directors. She has a diverse social service background and most recently served as the Constituent Services Director for former United States Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson. She continues to advocate for others through organizations such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) by serving on its Executive Committee, and Zonta International by serving on its Legislative Awareness and Advocacy Committee. Chasity recently organized a group in the Calumet District to participate during Illinois' Rescue & Restore Day to heighten awareness and provide resources to those involved in human trafficking.
Chasity is seeking her next opportunity to serve in a capacity of advocacy, policy, and/or community outreach. During February 2011, she was one of four social workers in Illinois chosen as an Emerging Social Work Leader.
