Travis Nottmeier
Southern District Chair
Travis Nottmeier, LCSW, CADC, received his bachelor and master degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He had worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for twelve years prior to transferring to the Illinois Department of Human Services two years ago. Travis began his career as a correctional officer at Menard Correctional Center. He received his clinical training at Menard Correctional Center and has subsequently obtained his Certification in Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counseling (CADC). Travis served as a mental health consultant on the Menard Correctional Center Hostage Negotiation Team, coordinator for Sexual Assault Prevention, chairman to the Treatment Review Committee, and Crisis Team Leader. Currently he is a licensed clinical social worker for the Illinois Department of Human Services/Mental Health Division. He works at Chester Mental Health Center as a social worker. Besides his regular responsibilities at Chester MHC, he serves as co-chief social worker and is on several committees including the Programming Committee and Treatment Plan Initiative Committee.
