February 2017 - West Central District Update

Nancy Egger, LCSW

Heloo West Central District!

I hope this finds you all well and as eagerly anticipating Spring as I am!

Social Work has a proud tradition of advocating for those who are not able to advocate for themselves, and they still need us.  Whatever your beliefs, we are a profession of service.  One great way to start is to consider attending the NASW Advocacy Day, scheduled for April 4.  Click here for more information:   http://www.naswil.org/news/chapter-news/featured/sign-up-for-advocacy-day-2016-1/.

There is still space available for the February 2 CEU event!  John Levitt, PhD will be presenting Down The Rabbit Hole:  Working Effectively with the Relational and Emotional World of the Eating Disordered, Self-Harming Client.  For information, or to register, click here:  https://naswil.wufoo.com/forms/west-central-ceu-event-020217.

To celebrate Social Work Month, we will be celebrating with a CEU event on March 10.  Join us for Financial Literacy For Social Workers!  For information and registration, click here:   http://www.naswil.org/calendar/events/4472.

Finally, please join me in welcoming our newest members, Ashley Moon, Katherine Galloway, Nicole Livsey, Renee Schouweiler, Kacey Anderson, and Cristol Klicker!
