Hello Chicago NASW!!!

          We hope you all are staying warm in this cold winter weather!!! After having to brave this frigid Chicago winter we want to warmly invite you all to our upcoming events. 

           Our first event is Public Library Social Work, being held Wednesday February 27, 2019 from 3P-5P, Uptown Branch Chicago Public Library, 929 West Buena Ave, Chicago IL 60613. We have a diverse panel of speakers that will discuss the emerging presence pf social work within the public library system. Come out and learn the role of social workers in library settings.             Our next event is #NOTFORSALE and will be held on Thursday March 7, 2019 from 5-7:30PM, Mount Sinai Hospital, Auditorium Glasser A, 1500 S. Fairfield Chicago IL 60608. Join us for an insightful conversation as Summar Ghias from Salvation Army's STOP-IT program provides a deeper understanding of trafficking of human and sex trafficking. Summar will also discuss practice techniques to help prevent, identify and respond to human trafficking.  Special guest speaker, Presidential Lifetime Achievement award winner and trafficking survivor Marian Hatcher will sit down to tell her personal journey of recovery and redemeption.
