June 2018 - Northeastern District Update

Lynn Zakeri

Summer is here!

I hope you are getting a chance to enjoy some downtime in addition to all you do.

Our networking and meditation event last month was enjoyable, collegial, and relaxing. I am getting to know some of you, and that makes these events all that more rewarding. I am working on more, I promise!

We are sold out for our June 22nd event, but there is a waitlist and openings come up all the time. We are in a book-discussion room to allow for good conversation. It is 1.5 cultural competence CEUs and also a really special speaker. Karen Topham is a transgender woman and teacher, and her son is a transgender student at a local high school. We are doing Q and A in addition to her presentation. If you are interested, still add your name. You never know.  http://www.naswil.org/calendar/events/4926/
