NASW-Illinois Chapter Statement on the Resignation of State Senator Christine Radogno

The NASW-Illinois Chapter would like to acknowledge the leadership and work of Illinois Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno who announced her resignation from the Illinois Senate effective July 1, 2017. Senator Radogno, an MSW graduate from Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work, has been a strong social work advocate throughout her incredible career. Although the NASW-Illinois Chapter may have differed in approaches to policy from time to time with Senator Radogno, she always provided access to the profession and used her social work training to advance the well-being of Illinois citizens. Her leadership in the Illinois General Assembly will be greatly missed.
