Welcome New NASW East Central District Members

2012 NASW Illinois Chapter Board of Directors Election: We are beginning to finalize our election slate for the 2012 election. This year’s elections will take place from April 2–30, 2012. A ballot will be sent out to the entire membership with nominee information posted to the chapter website. Please stay tuned, and check the website for voting information—PLEASE MAKE SURE TO VOTE!
Social Work Speaks, 9th Edition, NASW Policy Statements, 2012-2014 is now available through NASW Press: http://naswpress.org/publications/practice/speaks.html. Social Work Speaks contains the policy statements adopted by the NASW Delegate Assembly in 2011. As most of you are aware, the Delegate Assembly—NASW's key policymaking body—meets every three years, and Social Work Speaks is the result of the Delegate Assembly's systematic approach to policy development and guides NASW's advocacy efforts in social policy.
