June 2012 - Older Adults SIG Update

Phyllis Mitzen

On May 31, 2012, the Older Adults SIG concludes its current series of  seminars with Navigating the New Millennium Maze of Aging, co-sponsored by the National Association of Black Social Workers - Chicago Chapter. This year’s seminars have explored issues of older people being the hidden client in  caseloads as well as the job opportunities for social workers in the field of aging. Over the summer we will be planning our next series of programs. Please join us if you are interested in shaping the direction of the Older Adults SIG, both in its programming, collaborations, as well as its advocacy initiatives.
