This event has SOLD OUT.
As we move forward in these uncertain times due to COVID-19, the NASW-Illinois Chapter is moving ahead with beginning to offer online live virtual trainings. This is a new direction for the chapter, but one that we’ve been meaning to invest resources into in 2020 in order to provide new outlets for Illinois social workers to earn their CEUs.
With that in mind, please know that we are doing our best as we work to familiarize ourselves with current technologies available. Please understand that we are still learning to master the technology involved as well as perfecting how to best communicate to you what you’ll need in order to have the best and most seamless experience possible. We appreciate your patience as we all learn together how to best utilize these teleconferencing platforms!
NASW-Illinois Chapter Online Training
We will be hosting our first live virtual training on Friday, March 27, 2020. Presenter Zachary Hunsinger will be presenting, “If You Build It, They Will Come: Practical Tips for Starting a Private Practice," on Friday, March 27, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:00am. This virtual training will discuss how to obtain licensures and tax IDs, how to pick accountants and attorneys, what to do when someone doesn’t pay you, what are the new practice management software that reduces overhead and increases efficiencies, and how to create intake and assessment forms that keep the disgruntled client from entering through your door and that keep you from getting sued.
This course will be eligible for 1.0 CEU, $15 for nonmembers, free for NASW members. Class limit will be set to 50 registrants so we can better provide support during the training to registrants while also running the training.
IS YOUR TECHNOLOGY UP-TO-DATE? Please make sure your technology is updated and that you have reliable internet access before registering yourself. There is limited space, and we want to make sure that everyone who has the ability to participate is able to register. Here's how to test your device audio for Zoom.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the increasing use of teleconferencing platforms right now, many teleconferencing companies are undergoing a lot of stress as they also work to meet the demand. While we may do our best to prepare ourselves and our registrant, please know that there may still be difficulties with running the training. In the event that technological difficulties are preventing you from participating in the training, you may request a refund (see below).
REFUNDS: In the event you are unable to participate in our live virtual training due to problems with technology, we will honor requests for refunds within 24 hours of the training. Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue refunds after this 24-hour period after the conclusion of the training.
