The governor's executive order (COVID-19 Executive Order No. 9) which expanded telehealth services during COVID-19 has been extended for another month through November 14, 2020.
As executive order renewals can only happen month to month, we will continue to advocate for telehealth executive order renewal. Check the status on the governor’s executive orders monthly to see which executive orders are renewed each month as well as the NASW-Illinois Chapter 'News' page.
To verify whether the telehealth executive order is renewed, following these steps:
Look for: "Reissues Executive Orders," and click the link for the order.
Under "Part 1: Re-Issue of Executive Orders," look for the following: 2020-09
