Upcoming Chapter Events:
Note on In-Person CEU Requirement: As reported in February 2023, IDFPR has informed us that rules have been drafted by lawyers for a proposal that will entirely remove the in-person continuing education requirement from licensure renewal. While the process still needs to be finalized, we fully anticipate that the current requirement that 50% of total CE hours be obtained through in-person instruction will be removed from the current and future licensure renewal cycles. Please note that any in-person CEUs you acquire will still count toward the overall 30 CEUs required for LSW and LCSW licensure renewal. Read more at: https://www.naswil.org/blog/categories/licensure
Want to see more in-person events? Due to the availability of affordable venues and/or presenters who are comfortable with presenting in-person, we are still seeking local venues and presenters to provide in-person programming. If you have suggestions for either, please reach out to the chapter to make an introduction.
In addition to chapter events, our district chairs are also responsible for organizing 4 events a year for their district. Please note that district events are often the efforts of one volunteer to plan, organize, and run. If you would like to volunteer your time to see more events in your area or make speaker or venue suggestions, please reach out to your district chair.

Recorded CE Trainings
NASW-Illinois Chapter has teamed up with chapters from around the US to offer hundreds of CE courses in a variety of formats—webinars, webcasts, podcasts, presentations, and more. All courses offered through this program are accredited by either the national NASW office or a state chapter. Either way, you get discounts as an NASW member!
For attendees outside of Illinois, please note that NASW accreditation does not imply automatic acceptance by all state boards. Individuals should check with their state licensing board on whether a specific program will be accepted for continuing education purposes. All courses in the Social Work Online CE Institute are accepted by IDFPR and will count toward your Illinois LSW and LCSW renewal requirements.
