About the event
Attendees will be educated on the meaning of cultural competence and how cultural competence benefits the clients served and the institutions that provide services or products. Attendees learn the ways in which the lack of cultural competence effects patients, patient outcomes, imposes undue negative biases on patients, and may impede company goals or growth. Participants will be educated on the steps to develop and/or enhance their cultural humility towards others. Sample vignettes will be provided for learning enhancement as well as an open forum for questions and inclusive of personable testimonials from participants on their experience with cultural humility.
