New Health Behavior Assessment and Intervention Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)® Codes

Beginning January 1, 2020, new Health Behavior Assessment and Intervention (HBAI) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Codes were implemented. These codes were revised by the CPT Editorial Panel and approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the 2020 Final Physician Fee Schedule. NASW participated in the revision process of these new codes. The code set, 96150 through 96155, was deleted and replaced by nine new codes, 96156 through 96171.
