Below is an update of an earlier article about the licensure renewal deadline extension LSW and LCSW licensees.
Just this afternoon, we received clarification from the department for those individuals whose employers, insurance panels, etc., require a current license to maintain employment or to bill. We have just been informed that the IDFPR License Lookup page will be updated with the new extended February 28, 2022, expiration date before November 30, 2021. You should be able to download a copy of your licensure status with the new extended date soon once the department has updated the License Lookup page.
In the meanwhile, you can download the variance language IDFPR issued about the renewal extension (see link below) and submit that to any entity that may require updated information.
Continue to check the department renewal page to see if the licenses have been added, or stay tuned to the NASW-Illinois Chapter "News" page for updates! Don't forget that NASW-Illinois Chapter membership lends power to our voice when working with the licensing department and conveying that information in return to our members to keep them well-informed.
