Becka Ross, MSW, LCSW
Three Rivers District Chair
Hello Three River District!
I’d like to introduce myself. I'm honored to be your district representative for the next two years. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years' experience in mental health, working in many settings including private practice as a psychotherapist, managing a residential program for young men transitioning to adulthood, providing teletherapy in a medical setting, and currently as chief program officer at Crisis Text Line which offers free, 24/7 crisis support through a text-based service. I’m a passionate advocate for enabling innovative technologies to increase access to quality mental health and suicide prevention. I live in Roselle, IL, with my partner and 2 sons. As a family, we enjoy volunteering, playing soccer and, epic family Lego contests.
I’m hoping to engage our district in meaningful and innovative training opportunities so we can all grow together. My hope is you find a sense of community, belonging, and pride in being a NASW member in the Three Rivers District.
To kick off our district training, I will be hosting a webinar on identifying and responding to suicidal ideation. The training will provide you with the tools to assess for suicidal risk, understand non-suicidal injurious behavior and equip you with tools to respond in a clinically empathetic manner.
