Patricia Schofield, Jane Addams District Chair
Happy Fall Jane Addams District
November has arrived, and the reality of the passing of another year sets in. The remaining days of this year will bring more and more to do as the holiday season approaches. Let us not forget some important dates.
November 30th is the deadline for license renewal. Continuing education opportunities can still be found at naswil.org
The 2019 NASW-Illinois Chatper Statewide Conference is upon us November 5–7, 2019 at The Westin North Shore in Wheeling. You can earn 20 CEUS. Register here: http://naswilmeets.org/
Are you familiar with Shared Interest Groups (SIGs)? We have four areas of interest. I encourage everyone to get involved in an area of interest. Check it out at naswil.org
Older Adult SIG
Works to establish social work as a primary discipline in older adult services in Illinois and to attract committed social workers who are qualified and trained in the field of older adults

Intended to provide a common place for private practitioners to share knowledge and resources pertaining to their work.
Retired Social Workers SIG
Brings retired social workers (RSWs) back to the field of professional social work and provides networking opportunities, continuing education events, and more.
