November 2020 - Northeastern District Update

NASW-IL Staff

Lynn Zakeri, Northeastern District Chair

November. I type this on 11/1 with so much angst and uncertainty. I heard something the other day that I will share with you: If nothing else, the past year has mobilized likely a record number of voters. 11/3 here we come…

I wanted to remind you to sign up for MyNASW. Are you wondering how you can become involved? What CEU requirements look like? What our local chapter is doing about social justice? Or how COVID-19 is affecting our work? It is all here, and if you can’t find your answer, a quick post will likely get you a response by a colleague with an answer. Here is an example of a post. This one is on licensure renewal: https://www.naswil.org/post/updates-on-2021-licensure-renewal

LAST CHANCE! Sexual harassment and so many other valuable topics, register today!

Rethinking Ethics: 2020 NASW-Illinois Chapter Hybrid Conference

This year’s conference will be taking place on Thursday, November 19, 2020, in a new hybrid format allowing for both live virtual and in-person attendance. Meet with other social work professionals from around the state to earn up to 6 CEUs, including 3.0 CEUs in ethics and trainings on sexual harassment prevention and mandated reporting. Read more here: https://www.naswil.org/conference.

Take care of yourself this month, as you take care of so many others.

Lynn
