November 2022 - Northeastern District Update

Jacki Brunk, LCSW, Northeastern District Chair

Welcome to the monthly district update of the Northeast District!

This upcoming weekend we all get an extra hour of sleep as Daylight Savings time ends! I hope you are all taking care of yourselves as we prepare for the hectic holiday season ahead. People we work with often experience mood shifts and/or financial hardship over the holiday season. We are needed now more than ever to advocate on behalf of those who struggle; please take time to care for yourselves so you can be there for your clients.

I am planning our next CEU event. Check the NASW-IL website and look for e-mails from our district for more details.

Therefore, it is crucial to endorse candidates who support legislation and policies consistent with the goals of the social work profession.
