Hello Jane Addams District Members

My favorite color is Autumn. As we begin this beautiful month of October the trees remind us how important it is to let some things go. So, welcome to fall and welcome to all new and renewing members. We appreciate your support and value your membership.


Please join us for our district workshop

Trauma Informed Interventions Tuesday October 26th 9:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.

Workshop Description: In this training, attendees will learn how to support trauma exposed youth/adults more effectively by using trauma informed de-escalation techniques. This course provides a robust examination of trauma and how trauma reminders impact youth/adult behaviors.

Learning Objectives: Define trauma -List at least 3 principals of trauma informed care -Recognize at least 3 areas of function impacted by trauma-List the 3 components of the cognitive triangle-Identify 3 evidence-based approaches caregivers can use to support trauma exposed youth/adults.

Speaker Information: Gary Pate, MSSW, LCSW is a Senior Clinical Provider Trainer with YouthCare with 30 years of experience. In his current position, he trains providers, caregivers, and other child welfare stakeholders on a range of topics.



COST: 2.5 CEUs / $37 Nonmember / $10 NASW-IL Member
