Hello fellow social workers, and welcome to the month October!
October is a beautiful time of year and also time when many social workers begin to think about licensure renewal. For those who are geared up and ready to renew, licensure renewal will be available online toward the middle of October, according the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Social workers who are still in need of CEUs can find a number of upcoming events from the chapter that can work toward licensure renewal. As you prepare to renew your license, I encourage you to consider joining and/or renewing your NASW membership with our chapter. It is my belief that we are stronger together as we seek to advocate for those most vulnerable in our society as well as the social work profession. Lastly, I want to extend a sincere thank you to those who attended our district’s September CEU event. Your participation was greatly appreciated as a wealth of information was shared by our presenter. I look forward to seeing you again at our next district CEU event in November.
Best regards,
Diona Shelton, LCSW, CATP, CCTP
