It’s hard to believe that in less than 30 days we will be welcoming a new decade. December is a time of good cheer and spending time with friends and family. It is also a time when we celebrate our traditions of faith, creativity, self-determination, unity, and purpose. We will make resolutions and look back at another decade gone by. As you spend this month reflecting and feasting, remember that we all have a purpose, and together we can continue to build a world where everyone can sit at the table without fear and judgment. I wish you and your family a holiday season filled with joy and laughter. I hope to see all of you in the new year. Cheers!
2019 NASW-Illinois Chapter Conference: A Meeting of the Professions: I hope you were able to make it to the conference this year. I returned home in awe and happy that I am in a profession with so much diversity. One of the highlights for me was that our very own Jill Scott-Trainer of Lisle, IL, was the winner of an iPad during an afternoon drawing. Congratulations Jill!
